A luxury treehouse, a labour of love

Grant always wanted to build a treehouse; somewhere equally fun for adults and kids where everyone can switch off and reconnect with each other. Silva Treehouse is built almost entirely out of wood from our farm and by Grant himself. It is a place of luxury where every detail is considered, without compromising on having a good time.

Silva Treehouse sleeps 6 guests and has features that your inner child and / or your actual children will enjoy.

  • Appreciating the surroundings is really the focal point of the treehouse; a large window and wrap-around balconies show off the forest from which the structure was crafted, as well as a stunning view over the Lakeland Fells. We hope you’ll catch a glimpse of the deer, owls, hares, kestrels and badgers while you’re here.

    Sumptuous interior design is both playful and beautiful, using the wood’s natural properties for extra warmth and cosiness.

  • Silva Treehouse is meant for your inner child and your actual children. There’s a slide, plenty of board games, dart board, table tennis table, wood-fired hot tub, BBQ and pizza oven for your enjoyment.

    And the best bit? No wi-fi.

  • No matter who you’re here with, Silva Treehouse can cater for both chaos and calm.

    We offer a “Pop and Plunge” package to warm up the wood-fired hot tub in advance of your arrival and put the champagne on ice.

    There are numerous cosy nooks both inside and out for curling up with a book, cup of tea or your favourite tipple. Put your feet up and stay a while.

    We’ve also collaborated with Embrr Sauna to bring a unique sauna, ice bath and relaxation experience to Into the Woods Cumbria. Subject to availability. Book via the Embrr website or contact their team directly.

  • Silva Treehouse is a home from home with 2 x king size and 1 x double bed.

    We have hot showers, underfloor heating, electricity and all the utensils you need for whipping up and serving tasty meals.

    • Bring wellies, wet weather gear, torches and flip flops to wear out to the hot tub.

    • There is 4G mobile phone signal, but no wifi.

    • There are plug sockets!

All the details

    • We have 2 x king-size beds and 1 x double bed.

    • There’s space for 2 babies at no extra charge (babes in arms only). A travel cot and high chair can be provided.

    • We’ve got you covered with all bed linen, towels and dressing gowns.

    • The kitchen is equipped with gas hobs, toaster, kettle, oven, and a small fridge. There’s a large fridge-freezer downstairs.

    • Outside, we have a BBQ, firepit and pizza oven available to use.

    • Inside, there’s a wood burner in the lounge.

    • There are two bathrooms with a walk-in shower, sink, flushing toilet and heated towel rails.

    • Hot water is available throughout and we have underfloor heating (upstairs).

  • Silva Treehouse is situated on our family farm where we live with our 3 lovely dogs.

    The farmyard is a restricted area for guests and, depending on the season, you may hear some farming activities during your stay.

    Please be aware that shooting can be heard on-site over a few weekends between October and January.

The seclusion and tranquility of Silva Treehouse and Luna Treehouse can enjoyed by separate parties, but if you’d like to bring a crowd (of up to 12 people), they’re absolutely close enough to share.

"What a place! Lots of space, lots to do and all in a magical setting. It felt like staying at a 5* hotel with comfy beds and soft bathrobes. Our group of 5 were very comfortable and the wood fired hot tub was a great addition. The design and build of the treehouse is exceptional and the storage and activities available make it a much easier stay for a larger group. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again."
