Welcome to Gaddalands!
The name of our site comes from a mixture of gather and gad:
Gather: come together in a group (verb)
Gad: to go out in search of pleasure, especially in an aimless manner (verb) or carefree adventure (noun)
If the walls of our communal spaces at Gaddalands could talk, they would reverberate with laughter. We have created a dedicated place to have fun and to make memories. We can’t wait to help bring your plans to life!

Gaddalands is a “dry hire” glamping site with 2 football pitches worth of space to do with what you want!
Need inspiration? We’re happy to share our rugby & football goals, volleyball net, cricket nets, slacklines, rounders kit, tug of war rope and last but definitely not least sumo wrestling outfits!

We know what’s important.
Gaddalands has 3 dedicated toilet blocks with 6 composting toilets and 2 hot water showers. Just what you need after a long day’s adventure.

Having a shindig at Gaddalands?
We’ve got you covered with a DJ booth, stage and bar all built from wood on our farm. And of course, there’s ample room to boogie!

The kitchen at Gaddalands comes equipped with everything you need to feed a crowd of up to 30, including cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and a 6-hob stove. We also have a fridge, freezer and cold storage, so you can bring your own supplies.
If you’re feeling adventurous (and we hope you are!) there’s also a wood-fired pizza oven, BBQ and firepit for you to use to your hearts’ content.
Gaddalands has both indoor and outdoor dining options, so rain never stops play.

We’ve collaborated with Embrr Sauna to bring a unique sauna, ice bath and relaxation experience to Into the Woods Cumbria.

Where you’ll stay
Built out of wood from our farm, each of our glamping huts has its own unique character and bespoke furniture. We supply bed linen, towels, light and warmth, you just bring yourselves. Dogs are welcome!
Alternatively, you’re welcome to pitch up a tent or campervan and bring your own creature comforts with you. All accommodation options have full use of the communal Gaddalands amenities listed above.
No matter the reason for your stay, don’t forget to take a moment for yourself to stare at the night sky; we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do!

We accept online bookings of up to 30 people for mid-week (Tuesday - Friday) and weekend (Friday - Monday) reservations. The price includes:
Exclusive use of the whole Gaddalands site
Up to 6 people in our glamping huts Tethera, Walden Hut and Moonshine
Up to 24 people in tents and/or caravans
If you're looking for something slightly different, e.g. more people or a longer rental period, please send us an email!
"What a brilliant site! In a beautiful setting, each cabin has unique craftmanship and whilst your neighbours aren’t far you still feel like you have plenty of privacy. Our favourite part had to be the ‘man-shack’ a true rancher-style shack; the perfect hangout spot especially if it’s pouring with rain, with wood-burning stove, great kitchen and huge table to feast at."
